We love all of our clients at HouseofBeautybySandy, and we want to make sure everyone feels at home in our friendly Beauty Salon. That’s why we’ve set a few basic policies to make sure everyone who walks through our doors has an experience that leaves them wanting to return.
House of Beauty by Sandy (HOB) provides a variety of beauty treatments and advanced facial treatments in Northwick Worcester.
New clients requesting treatments are required to register with HOB by providing their name and date of birth for identification purposes, and a contact telephone number, for administration purposes.
It is the responsibility of each client to ensure the accuracy of the personal information provided. Clients will be asked periodically to confirm the accuracy of their personal information as held by HOB.
Personal information is not used for marketing purposes and is not passed to a third party for marketing purposes.
All personal information is held securely and is processed in accordance with HOB’s Privacy Policy.
Certain treatments are not available to clients under the age of 16 years.
HOB shall not be liable under contract , tort or otherwise for losses that were not caused by HOB ‘s breach of these terms, nor for any loss or damage that was not relevant or reasonably foreseeable as a consequence of HOB breaching these terms.
Payment in full is required for all treatments on the day the treatment is provided.
Data protection Privacy PolicyThe aim of the Data Protection Act (DPA) , the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and of this policy, is to provide individuals with control over their personal information.
House of Beauty processes personal information about its clients and will take reasonable steps as possible to comply with this policy.
Principles:House of Beauty will so far as is reasonably practicable, comply with the Data Protection Principles contained in the Data Protection Act and seek to ensure all personal information is:1. Fairly and lawfully processed;2. Processed for a lawful purpose;3. Adequate, relevant and not excessive;4. Accurate and up to date;5. Not kept for longer than necessary;6. Processed in accordance with the information subjects rights;7. Stored and destroyed securely;8. Not transferred to other countries with adequate protection.
Personal informationPersonal information covers both facts and opinions about the individual where that information identifies an individual. Personal information may also include sensitive personal information such as medical information, gender, religion, race, sexual orientation, trade union membership and criminal records and proceedings.
Processing of personal informationConsent will be required for the processing of personal information unless processing is necessary for the performance of the contract, compliance with legal obligation or any other legitimate purpose. Individuals may withdraw their consent to the processing of their personal information at any time by giving the information controller written notice of their decision to withdraw consent.
Most of the personal information processed by HOB is for the performance of the contracts for services, in the vital interest of the individuals or to enable HOB to fulfil its legal obligations.
Any personal information which is not otherwise exempt, will remain confidential and will only be disclosed to third parties with appropriate consent. Certain information is exempted from the provisions of the Data Protection Act for example;• information required as part of legal proceedings;• for the prevention of detection of crime and national security reasons;• for the assessment of any tax or duty.
AccuracyHOB will endeavour to ensure that all personal information held in relation to all individuals is accurate. Individuals most notify HOB of any changes to information held about them.
Rights of Access to informationIndividuals have the right of access to information held by HOB , subject to the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of information Act 2000.

Information SecurityHOB will take appropriate technical and organisational steps to ensure security of personal information. All staff, both employees and contractors, will be made aware of this policy and their duties under the Data Protection Act.
All staff are required to respect the personal information and privacy of others and must ensure that appropriate protection and security measures are taken against unlawful or unauthorised processing of personal information, and against the accidental loss of, or damage to personal information.
Breaches of SecurityHOB will report any breaches of security to the information Commisioner’s Office within 72 hours. Affected individuals with be informed without delay.
External processorsHOB will ensure that information processed by external processors, for example, service providers, Cloud services including storage, web sites etc are compliant with this policy and relevant legislation.
Retention of information HOB may retain certain types of personal information for differing periods of time for different purposes as required by statute or best practices.
Typically, personal information of clients will be destroyed 12 months after the client last received treatment.
Secure DestructionWhen personal information held in accordance with this policy is destroyed, it will be destroyed securely in accordance with best practice at the time of destruction.
PhotographsPhotographs may be taken of the clients prior to treatment and updated after treatment as part of an individuals treatment record. Photographs taken will be stored securely electronically.
ComplaintsIf an individual believes HOB has not complied with this policy or acted otherwise than in accordance with the Data Protection Act they should notify Sandy Hughes.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
A non refundable booking fee will be required for all appointments, this will
come off the final treatment costs. If for any reason you need to
cancel/reschedule your appointment than we require at least 48 hours notice to do this.
Any cancellation or rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice will result in the booking fee
being forfeited and a new booking fee will be required to book a new appointment.

If rescheduling the appointment with 48 hours notice than the booking fee will be transferred
to the new appointment.

If you cancel on the day of your appointment then the full amount of the treatment costs will
be required.
​
If this continues to be a regular occurrence than I reserve the right to cancel your appointment and/or
ask for 100% of the treatment costs before the appointment.
